Lately we had some interesting projects in the field of monitoring. For that we developed an automated classification algorithm which uses deep learning and artificial neural networks to classify different crop types. This also forms the basis for the cooperation with the Bavarian State ministry for Nutrition, Agriculture and Forestry (StMELF), which looks for alternative ways for on-site controls of agricultural land in order to realize the EU Commission’s plan to switch to exhaustive monitoring over the next few years. As part of a pilot project, we support the StMELF in automated crop detection. Read more about this project here (in German).

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions in the field of crop type classification.
